“CARTILAGE REGENERATION” & “SHOULDER ARTHROSCOPY: REHAB
CONSIDERATIONS BASED ON SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS”
TIMOTHY MCADAMS, MD
Dr. McAdams received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and then his
MD from Georgetown University in 1995. He decided to specialize in
orthopedic surgery which led him to the University of New Mexico for
his internship and orthopedic surgical residency which he completed
in 2000. He then finished his training at Stanford University with a
hand and upper extremity fellowship in 2001. He received the Teacher
of the Year Award in June 2002 from Stanford University’s Orthopaedic
Surgery Department and currently is the Department’s Chair. He is a
team physician for the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Men’s
Basketball team. His research interests include articular cartilage
replacement techniques, dynamic open MRI evaluation of “peel back”
SLAP lesions, reconstruction of the elbow MCL, and the lateral
ligament complex of the elbow. He has been published in several peer
reviewed journals and is speaking to us tonight on cartilage
regeneration and rehabilitation considerations for the post operative
shoulder based on surgical interventions.
