Video Lending Library

General Information

What is the video lending library? A collection of educational video and audio tapes presenting various aspects of physical therapy. The selection includes topics on anatomy and dissection, evaluation and treatment methods, exercise programs, and manual therapy treatments.

Using the video information is a great way to review anatomy through dissection in your own home without the smell of formaldehyde. You can also review evaluation and treatment techniques to improve clinical skills or prepare for an inservice presentation. You can also preview a particular treatment technique or treatment philosophy to determine if you may want to invest in a course.

The tapes can help the individual practitioner improve skills, or when shown to the entire staff, can make an excellent and inexpensive inservice tool for departments. This may be especially important in these days of shrinking continuing education budgets.

And speaking of costs, what's the bottom line here....The cost of renting or "checking out" Lending Library materials is free to C.P.T.A. members in the San Jose district. We merely require you to pay for the necessary insured postage involved with getting the tapes or materials to you and back safely. The entire lending process can be totally free of charge if the tapes are checked out at the district meetings (or in person) and returned in person to one of the drop off sites.

The Lending Library is just one more benefit for being a member of the San Jose District CPTA
